Living with a male roommate?

Hello! I am 19 years old and am moving out within the next month. I lived in a coed dorm for a year and my hall itself was 75% male. I transferred schools and moved back home. My parents have always warned me against living with a boyfriend and have always refered to my future housemate as a she. However my parents and I are having problems and I am moving out sooner then planned. The person I want to live with is a he. We spend a lot of time together and I know that we would make great roommates. He cleans up after himself and we are very close. We are looking at a 2 bedroom apartment so it's not like we are having sex and living in the same room. I just feel like he would be the best choice for me and most responsible. How do I adress this with my parents? I make my own money and can of course do what I want since I am 19 but I would like them to feel comfortable for several reasons. One being they are my family and two being them more they like the situation the more they will help me out. Does anyone have any advice on how to talk to then about this?
