To be seated, to be sitting, to sit, ENGLISH speakers, help :)?

"To be seated" and "to be sitting" describe a state. One is not motivated to be in a state but to enter into one, so "I had the motivation to sit at my desk...", but "I was motivated to sit..." would be better, and "I was moved to sit..." even better.
