Bluetooth on Laptop :/?

Hey my laptop (Travel Mate 4150 Acer Windows XP) has a bluetooth button on the computer near mouse but when i click it, it doesn't glow or turn on like it has in the past. I have searched the laptop for bluetooth but no results were found. I have also looked in my devices and its not there either. And there is no yellow ! either. i have searched all day but have not found a single answer and i have tried everything! I have connected my phone to bluetooth before but i cant remember how. Please help!
