College cheerleading? help please?

ok this is going to be really long but please read i need help so im 16 going to be a junior it will be my 1st year on varsity (seniority only juniors and seniors) i have wanted to get into competitive cheer for a while now but money has been really tight so i couldn't. but now i have my own job and i can afford to start tumbling classes and our schools varsity team has a deal with a local gym to teach us how to partner stunt for college and they only charge us $5 to go. so my question is if i start all of this this summer is it possible for me to make a college team? i already know that i want to go to the University of Texas at Austin and i really want to be on the orange(coed) squad but i would be very happy if i made the white(all girl) squad i just want to continue cheering :)
