I got a green thing from my old watch which has light.what is it? some electroluminant thing?

it is in florescent green color. it has two terminals in its sides. and a type of copper like thin plating is seen inside it. i need to know whether i can connect some voltage in the terminals and make it glow. im a 13 year old boy.
