Can you get an STD from a toilet seat?

I know, I know, the age old question...but I still think it would be possible. For example...I live on a Coed floor in a college dorm. The guys have sex all the time, and then walk right into the bathroom and pee with the seat down.... splashing pee all over the seat (keep in mind there is a good amount of semen in the urine right after sex. If someone comes in right after he pees on the seat and sits on that, it must be POSSIBLE for them to contract an std.... thoughts?
